My dyeing yarn in the sun experiment worked! I put the yarn in the sun around 11:30 and by 7:30 it was a beautiful red hue.
I did it again today and it went faster, because I used less dye. I will get a picture of today’s dyed yarn after it dries. It was a fun weekend project and I could see myself going wild with this dyeing stuff. But, I think I should get a book or take a class on dyeing before I go too wild. So, I’ve decided to put acid dyeing on hold till I better educate myself. Any book suggestions?
