I work this weekend, so have today and Tuesday of next week off. That really has nothing to do with the rest of this post, but I was at a loss for a title. Perhaps I should write a post and then title it. I might get better results.
Tuesday was my last spinning class. Woe is me. I came out with another hank of funky chunky yarn. I’m thinking I’ll make either a neck warmer or head band with it. Here it is:
I really enjoy spinning, though I have a lot to learn. I want to become a spinning master. I fantasize about it when I’m going to sleep at night. Is that creepy? Or just weird? Or just creepy that I’m publicly announcing my nighttime fantasies? I’ve decided to try to save money for a spinning wheel. I’m terrible at saving money but I’m going to try a new tactic. I labeled an envelope “spinning wheel” and I’m going to put cash into it. I’m going to see if I can manage at least $100 a month, but I’m going to add to it randomly too, like when I have cash burning a hole in my pocket.
So far it has a dollar in it. : ) You gotta start somewhere!
I’ve also been shamelessly adding to my stash, which won’t help me save any money!
I couldn’t resist this yarn. I love both of them. They are hand spun and dyed right here in Fresno, CA. The brand name is Anzula.
And I started this bright delight:
Soon it will be a gorgeous hat with ear flaps. The pattern is from the book “Knit One, Embellish Too.” It’s been fun to work on. I love knitting hats.
